Because animals can be unpredictable and don't usually sit perfectly still, I will usually need to take a TON of photos during the shoot. I carefully sort through all the images, hand-select the best, and professionally edit them. I aim to produce at least 20 final images for location sessions and 10 final images for studio sessions for you to choose from.

For Signature Sessions, approximately two weeks after your session, the final images will be placed in a private online gallery for you to choose from.

Digital images are purchased after your session, so you can choose what you want after viewing your final images. Additionally, in the unlikely event that you are unsatisfied with the final images from your session, you are not committed to purchasing any.

Each session is customized to your pet's personality; there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. Generally, I will begin the session by getting to know your pet and giving them time to get comfortable with me and my camera equipment. I may also do some positive reinforcement training to prepare them before we start.

Expect a 1-2 hour session with breaks for comfort, resulting in a variety of beautiful images. Overall, you can expect to have a fun bonding experience with your pet.

Sessions can take place at your home, outdoors, or in my Riverside studio. For cats or pets under four months, in-home sessions are recommended.

While I can create portraits of just about any animal, dogs and cats are the most common type of pets I photograph.

For the Signature Session, up to 4 pets from the same household are included.

There may be a fee for more subjects, and depending on your goals, I may recommend multiple sessions divided up across different days. This way, we can ensure sufficient coverage and variety.

Yes, human family members are encouraged to join!

No! Most dogs (and cats) I photograph are untrained and easily distracted. I have years of experience working with various animals at rescue and veterinarian facilities, so I am prepared to adapt to your pet’s personality to capture their images.

Using patience, positive reinforcement training, yummy treats, and one or more of my tricks, I can typically get beautiful images of any pet, even if they have zero obedience training. I guarantee that I will give every ounce of my skills during your session to create the best imagery of your furbaby.

Yes! I prefer to keep even the most obedient dogs on a leash during outdoor sessions. Most of the dogs you see in my portfolio were on a leash.

I'll either hide or remove the leash in Photoshop when possible.

In some situations, we can use an extra-long leash to capture action shots or allow for more space.

I perform basic retouching, including standard enhancements and removing minor distractions. Additional retouching is available upon request for an extra fee, but it is usually not necessary unless there are significant adjustments you want to make.
